Branch Traded

Deion Branch has been traded to Seattle, according to ESPN's Michael Smith. He will be a big addition to their offense and may give them the edge again in their division. At the same time, this really hurts the Pats. Their top two receivers are gone from last year and their next two are hurt. Plus it pisses off Brady.

I really think the Pats could have done better than this. They need help at WR NOW and they didn't get it. That draft pick, although, a first rounder, will most likely be in the high 20's, which doesn't make me wet my pants. Deion Branch is far too good and their needs are far too great for this move in my opinion. They only suited up 3 WR's for this past Sunday's game. Receivers are the need if for no other reason than to guard against inury.

I agree. Their asking price was a first rounder plus a second rounder. They got what may be a late first rounder. Now their top two receivers of the last 3 years are gone. Their new top receiver is a rookie who is hurt. And they are attempting to pick up other receivers off of waivers. The running game could be better than ever with Dillon/Maroney and a healthy O-line. but with no receivers, they can put eight in the box and double Watson. Teams finally have a way to exploit the Pats, even when they are at full strength. They have let too much talent leave. Not to mention Adam V. kicking game winners for Indy.

I think the Hawks actually gave up too much. I think Branch while fast, isn't that good. Makes me wonder why the Hawks did this trade. They already have Darrell Jackson and just signed Nate Burleson to a big contract. DJack must be more banged up than I thought, otherwise the hawks made a dumb move.
